Marie Ortiz

Marie Ortiz is a soulful blend of Folk and R&B with her own unique, jazzy flare. Born and raised in Macon, she was raised on southern rock and alike such as Steve Miller Band, Eagles, and Ronnie Milsap. You can hear her vocal inspiration from her favorite jazz legends like Nina Simone and Billie Holiday. Marie has quickly taken the Macon music scene by storm with her unexpected fusion of Folk and R&B. 

She uses her unique songwriting to tell honest stories that paint a picture worth staring at. Marie recently got back into the music scene after realizing in order to teach her kids to chase their dreams, she had to chase her own. She hopes to be an inspiration to those who think their voices can’t be heard.
