Once upon a time (well, early 2017), this Baby Boomer bass player had a thought: “Alternative Rock is really cool. I love it, and I’d love to play it. Why don’t more bands play modern music?” He brought this up with his friend, the Gen X guitar player, who agreed.
The two decided to start a project that would bring back the best Alt Rock of the 90s but would move live music forwards, not backwards - 90s to the present, because there’s lots of music from this century that deserves to be played and enjoyed. They wanted to keep the music fun and entertaining but needed a few more pieces to the puzzle.
Enter Millennial drummer, Gen X singer and Millennial guitarist. With the band in formation, they debuted their modern sound in the Fall of 2017 to an enthusiastic crowd in Philadelphia.
But something was still missing, something that really would pull the sound together and open the Alt Rock catalog even wider. That something came in the form of Gen X keyboardist and singer. She was to be the icing on the band’s Alt Rock cake.
​The result? A band that can enthusiastically cover the likes of Green Day, No Doubt and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but isn’t afraid to dabble in the best of new Alt Rock like The Kooks, The 1975 and The Killers. Come check out Almost There - Your Live Alt Rock Playlist.
