Broken Speakers with Headstrings

Born out of the turmoil of the Pandemic, Broken Speakers’ songs weave through a common thread of pain, triumph, struggles and love mixed to the backbeat of both rock and soul. After supporting each other while kicking around the southeast in various working bands (Gaslight Street, Sideshow American's, Josh Roberts And The Hinges, etc.) the members of Broken Speakers finally found the opportunity to do something they'd hoped for – make music together from the ground up. 

Headstrings is a collective of multi talented creatives from Macon, Georgia, whom came together in 2021 to craft meaningful, inclusive, and intentional non-fiction muse.
Founded by Scott Baston, James Lengel, and Kat Bugatti in 2021 in Macon, Ga, and later to be joined by Matt Billingsley, Caleb Melvin, Ethan Hamlin, and Bill Jarrett in 2023 to round out the core members of this extremely versatile collection of muse makers.
Even though they are still a very new band, most of the members of this outfit are seasoned Macon, GA local creatives that have pooled their efforts together, with a focus on well crafted arrangements, honoring a long legacy of timeless lyrical storytelling through music, movement, and sonic artistry.
Headstrings songwriting features elements of genre defying, singer songwriter, jazz, blues, improvisation, and world music, with lyric centric storytelling, and almost cinematic arrangements.
The band prides itself in being creative musical orators of specific times, places, and things that accompany universal moments tied tightly to the human condition, in which we can all relate or currently reside.
Because Headstrings is a collective, you never know what to expect with the material, it’s presentation, or with the special guest that might join the band and help tell the tales. Either way, you can count on something special, and intentional; uniquely crafted for each performance.
