Sarah Plum has spent her career championing new music, commissioning composers and bringing their work to a wider audience. She has been heralded as an "adventurous indie violinist" by New York Classical Music, and her playing has been praised as "consistently stunning in works that demand conventional virtuosity but also great skill in unconventional techniques" by third coast digest. In this concert, her first full length solo program since moving to Chicago in 2018, she will be performing new music for violin, viola, violin with electronics and two violins with electronics (with Charlene Kluegel) to celebrate the release of her new solo CD entitled Personal Noise.
The concert will feature music of Osnat Netzer, Kyong Mee Choi, Mari Kimura, Charles Nichols, Mari Takano, Jeff Herriott and the world premiere of a multimedia piece by Berlin-based composer/sound artist Laurie Schwartz.
