Event Details
This June, Murmuration Theatre Company kicks off Pride Month with a 25th Anniversary Production of Diana Son’s play, STOP KISS. Son’s play tells the story of two women who fall in love, and also navigates the fallout from the hate crime which leaves one of the women in a coma. Hate crimes targeting LGBT individuals have climbed every year for the past four years, and incidents of political violence targeting the LGBT+ community more than tripled between 2021 and 2022. In light of recent legislation targeting the LGBT community and the dwindling number of spaces for queer women across America, Son’s play is more relevant than ever.
.
*This production is produced in partnership with and as a fundraising effort for The Audre Lorde Project and the Lesbian Herstory Archives. Email murmurationtheatreco@gmail.com or message @murmurationtheatreco if you'd like to make a donation to our impact partners in advance of the production.
.
**STOP KISS is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com)
