NEMOPHILA are a 5-piece all female metalcore band from Japan featuring extraordinary screamo vocals and catchy melody lines accompanied by a full-fledged metal sound which is rare to be heard nor seen in Japan. The band’s aggressive sound and performance is definitely at the level to compete in the international market, and has already caught the eyes and ears of countless listeners worldwide even before their official album debut. 110,000 subscribers and videos have been viewed over 20 million times. NEMOPHILA’s YouTube videos have definitely been a big factor to being noticed not only in Japan but also worldwide.

NEMOPHILA will be releasing its official first full album “REVIVE” which will include 11 songs, 5 songs from their previously released singles and 6 brand new songs. The album will feature a varietyof songs with a versatile sound ranging from loud rock to grunge, and will definitely exhibit the growthof NEMOPHILA as a band. The limited edition will include a DVD with live footage from the band’spast shows.

NEMOPHILA started their official YouTube channel in February 2020. The band uploaded a cover version of IRON MAIDEN’s “The Trooper” back then, which has been viewed over 2 million times to this day. The channel has over 

NEMOPHILA officially made their debut as a band in September 2019 at the METAL WEEKEND 2019 held at Zepp Diver City, Tokyo where the band opened up for big names such as LOUDNESS and HAMMERFALL. On February 8th, 2020, the band launched their YouTube channel and released their first single “OIRAN” on the 29th of the same month. Their second single “雷霆 -RAITEI-”came out approximately 6 months later on August 22nd, 2020 and the band held their first live streaming celebrating the return of drummer Tamu Murata from her maternity leave. In December 2020, the band held another live stream with 10,000 viewers for the first set which was a free live stream, and more than 1,000 viewers for the second set which was a paid live stream. NEMOPHILA was able to draw a large number of viewers despite the fact that the band had not even released any material via public distribution. On February 28th, 2021, NEMOPHILA released their third single “DISSENSION” and held yet another live stream event which drew 15,000 viewers for the first set which was a free live stream, and more than 1,300 viewers for the second set which was a paid live stream. Following their single release and live stream, the band took part in the NAON NO YAON Festival at the Hibiya Open Air Concert Hall, hosted by Japan’s legendary female metal band SHOW-YA on April 29th, 2021. On June 19th, 2021, NEMOPHILA held their fourth live stream event viewed by over 80,000 people for the free portion and over 1,500 people for the paid portion. The band also released “OIRAN Extended Edition” from JPU Records in England on June 25th, 2021, selling 6,000 physical copies in the first 2 months after its release. NEMOPHILA released “REVIVE” as their digital single on October 13th, and held a live stream event on the 17th of the same month celebrating the band’s 2nd anniversary. 

During the stream show NEMOPHILA announced the release of their first album “REVIVE” on December 15th, 2021, as well as their first solo live show with an audience to be held at the LINE CUBE Shibuya in January 2022. Tickets to the show sold out instantly! NEMOPHILA is scheduled to release their next digital single “HYPNOSIS” on November 17th.
