Ugo Nonis, a French artist currently living and working in Los Angeles, describes the impact that Austin has had on his career and creativity.
2:00PM - 2:30PM GARETH MAGUIRE (Artist)- "Be yourself, everyone else is taken"
Gareth Maguire is an Irish artist living and working in Austin, Texas. Gareth’s art focuses on suggestive dichotomies and balances abstraction with figuration, his social commentary is at times simple and humorous and other times insightful and provocative.
3:00PM - 3:30PM TURK PIPKIN (Actor, Author, Philanthropist)- Unveiling his Book of the (every other) Month Club
Turk Pipkin is the co-founder of the global education nonprofit, The Nobelity Project, and has worked extensively in the worlds of books, film, television andphotography.
4:00PM - 4:30PM STEVEN WALKER and SCOTT NEWTON (Modern Rocks Gallery Owner and Photographer) "Austin Music Photography through the Years"
Together, music photographer Scott Newton and musician and gallery owner Steven Walker discuss Austin music photography through the years.
5:00PM - 5:30PM MATT LANKES (Photographer) "Expressing Authentic Portraits"
Matt Lankes, a seventh-generation Texan, grew up around the camera. He is known for his portraits from Boyhood and truly capturing who the person is by spending time with his subjects.

1:00PM - 1:30PM ANA STAPLETON, BART KNAGGS, and NICK SIMONITE (Curator, Entrepreneur, Photographer) "Staying Here: A Hotel Art Story"
Together, photographer Nick Simonite, Bart Knaggs (a native Austinite and entrepreneur who helped to co-found Austin City Limits Music Festival), and Ana Stapleton (a Mexican-born creative consultant who curated South Congress Hotel and Hotel Ella’s art collection) discuss curating meaningful art for hotels and hospitality projects.
2:00PM - 2:30PM JADE WALKER, STEVE CARLSON, and SHEA LITTLE (Art Alliance, POP Austin, Big Medium) "Austin Art Month"
Representatives from three local arts organizations discuss Austin’s evolving art scene and the positive effect “Austin Art Month” could have on the city.
3:00PM - 3:30PM NAK ARMSTRONG (Jewelry Designer) "Reinventing Jewelry"
Nak Armstrong, a CFDA award-winning jewelry designer known for his innovative metal working techniques, discusses his process and inspiration. His background in architecture and fashion are evident in the unique style in which he engineers his designs.
4:00PM - 4:30PM KEITH KREEGER and MICHAEL FOJTASEK (Ceramics Artist and Designer and Executive Chef at Olamaie) "Beyond the Table"
Artist and Big Medium board president Keith Kreeger and Olamaie’s owner and executive chef Michael Fojtasek discuss thoughtful design as a means to enhance the experience “beyond the table.”
5:00PM - 5:30PM BOB SCHNEIDER and YSABEL LEMAY (Artists) "The Art of Collage"
Austin artists Bob Schneider and Ysabel LeMay discuss the art of collage. Schneider, who is best known for his music, is also an accomplished visual artist, creating unique assemblages of images and text from old magazines and books. LeMay’s collaged images of hypersaturated nature draw upon 15 years of experience in graphic design and marketing.
