Born from the pandemic, Wyrmwood is an Omaha based quintet. During these trying times, Cole Eisenmenger (Mr. E & the Stringless Kite) returned to his roots, writing folk music that strums to the loneliness, fear, and isolation we have all experienced in some capacity as a society. There are also glimmers of love, compassion, inspiration, and progress that have spawned from the darkness. Wyrmwood captures a gamut of emotion and personal experiences with arrangements that can be described as folk, country, progressive, psychedelic, & rock n’ roll. The band often uses 3-4 part vocal harmonies to create lush dissonance + harmony—tension, release, & bliss. Mountains and valleys. Murky swamps and fresh streams.
Joining Eisenmenger are local Omaha staples Brian Curtis (bass, vocals), Matt Ehlinger (pedal steel, lead guitar), Kevin Sullivan (keyboards, mellotron, vocals), and Brandon Bakke (drums, vocals). 9/3/2021 is Wyrmwood’s debut performance.
Ebba Rose (formerly known as urn) is solo project recently created by a 23 year old singer-songwriter Erin Mitchell. Located in Omaha, NE, Mitchell has been performing for the past 10 years in various bands such as Daisy Distraction, Dilemma, Domestic Blend and Magu.
Wanting to focus on her solo material, Mitchell created a project solely for her own compositions. Ebba Rose features music from Erin’s most recent ventures—focusing on soulful delivery and catchy melodies.
Ebba Rose will release her first single “Milk & Honey” as well have her performance debut on Sept 3rd at the Slowdown.
