The pinnacle of  the second-annual Woodstock Community Festival of Awakening is an afternoon at Bearsville Park on Saturday, August 10, from noon to 6:00pm.

There you will find:

·     The Sound Garden Kirtan performers from across the Hudson Valley & beyond will be gathering in spirit, sound &dance.   Master-musician Krishna Das will conclude the afternoon with us.

·     Movement by the Stream will integrate creek sounds with the flow of guided meditation in movement.  We offer, among other modalities, Sufi dance, Qi Gong, various yoga modalities, forms of cleansing, trance, and voice empowerment.

·     Awakening Talks will take place throughout the afternoon, where “Awakening” in its many guises will be explored.  Including earth consciousness, community activism, history, conscious growing and eating, philosophy, and the promise ofWoodstock past and future.

·     The Healing Garden Market with 40 or more vendors offering their services at the forefront of wellness, including
 

o  Everyday magic

o  Crystal shops

o  Microgreens

o  Cannabis-based offerings

o  Sorcery and shamanic consultation

o  Acupuncture

o  Aromatherapy

o  Astrology and Tarot

o  Massage

o  Psychic healers

o  Reiki

o  Sound & tuning-fork healing

·     Walking Meditations in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. These will take place throughout the afternoon, on walking paths in the Bearsville woods.

·     The Children’s Garden from 1 to6.   Community educators will be working together to delight, engage & inspire parent/guardian-accompanied children(ages 2 to 12) with:

Movement

Story and art projects,

Group collaborations including a magical woodland walk,

Wand making,

“Giggles & Genesha” mandala making,

Gentle meditations

A collective prayer-circle made of objects to represent us and our gathering wishes for the land and the creatures it sustains.

We offer you The Spirit of Awakening in all things, and we look forward to our collective, forever now complete awakening with you.

Lawn chairs and picnic blankets are welcome.

Food, beverages, coolers may not be brought into the park-soft sided coolers with infant food are permitted.
