There was that time he was detained by the Egyptian military, accused of being an American spy. Or the time he repelled off a massive highway bridge protesting big oil. Or the time he chained himself to the Oakland police department headquarters after yet another unarmed Black man was murdered by cops. Harrowing true story after story, LA indie folk/pop troubadour and activist Ethan Buckner has seen it all. Through trauma and triumph, anxiety and hope, Ethan has always turned to songwriting to try and make sense of it. His forthcoming debut LP Treading Water, produced by grammy-nominee Justin Glasco (Paris Paloma, Lone Bellow), weaves between moments both intimate and anthemic, exploring struggles that are both deeply personal and unavoidably collective.

Tin Angel

IG
Introducing Tin Angel, an emerging folk band hailing from the city of Los Angeles. Comprised of three musicians: Taylor Sackson, Daisy Abrams, and Grace Freeman, who met in the local music scene at the weekly showcase called "Open Folk.” After singing together for the first time, it was a done deal- a new band had blossomed.

Inspired by the soul-stirring sounds of artists like Adrianne Lenker and Crosby, Stills & Nash, Tin Angel weaves together a tapestry of folk tunes that transport listeners to a world of introspection and wonder. Their music is a delicate fusion of acoustic guitars, decorative piano, and ethereal harmonies that create an intimate and organic atmosphere. Each song is a heartfelt expression of self-discovery, embracing vulnerability, and finding strength in femininity.

As they prepare to release their anticipated debut EP, Tin Angel is poised to make an everlasting impact on the indie folk music scene. Their songs resonate with a raw authenticity, and their performances radiate with an unwavering belief in the power of music to heal, inspire, and connect

David Redd

David Redd is a New York bred, LA-based singer, songwriter, and band leader recreating what rock & roll really means. A music born from blending sounds and genres, rock never died, it just got boring. But back in David’s hands, it blends folk, soul, indie rock, r&b and  all the new music that’s come along in the last 40 years with a poet’s ear and a writer’s precision.

Drawing inspiration from songwriting greats like Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, and Bruce Springsteen, David combines pointed lyrics, keen observations, and a wry sense of humor with a touch of hope and even optimism — rare traits these days when cynicism feels like the easiest path.

With his all star band of LA session players, David starts his records the old fashioned way — a band, a studio, playing down the tunes — before mixing in elements of modern production to create a sound that feels both familiar and brand new.

His sophomore album, “Love is Everything & It Will Not Save You,” will be out this fall.
